Erin Schneiderman serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the School of Community Resources and Development (SCRD) at ASU Watts College. She oversees the Special Event Management Program where she prides herself on offering the tools and confidence to tomorrow's event professionals. In addition, Schneiderman directs the SCRD Internship Program matching students with organizations who pledge to offer a meaningful experience to SCRD students as they prepare for the next step after graduation.
Schneiderman began her teaching career with the SCRD in 2014. Prior to that she served as the Director of Events at Thunderbird School of Global Management, Vice President of Events at the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee, Events Manager at the National Football League's Corporate Hospitality Village and Events Manager at Schneider-Yates & Associates. Schneiderman considers herself so fortunate to work with students on a daily basis and is looking forward to supporting the TSA!
Claire McWilliams is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Tourism Development and Management in the School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University. She has a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management and a master's degree in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University. She has a PhD with an emphasis in workplace psychology from Grand Canyon University. Her research interests focus on the psychological impact of exposure to negative customer behavior on frontline customer service providers in the hospitality/tourism industry.
Dr. McWilliams transitioned into full-time instruction at ASU in 2015. She teaches Introduction to Tourism (TDM 205), Hotel & Resort Management (TDM 225), Community Services Professions (CRD 210) and Tourism Management (TDM 401) courses. She has co-facilitated study abroad experiences to Fiji and Australia, focusing on international tourism and sustainable tourism, and to Botswana to study the impact of shared community and tourism use of river systems. She also teaches tourism courses for ASU's Osher Life Long Learning Institute (OLLI). She is a professional consultant, writer and speaker for local companies.

Nick is from Pennsylvania and earned his PhD from Kent State University. He has visited over 100 countries and has both lived abroad and conducted international research. His passions are placemaking and social regeneration, and measuring the impact of largescale events on communities. When he isn't researching or teaching, he LOVES to catch sporting events around the Valley, support TSA activities, and build Lego towers with his two adorable kids.
Lyn teaches in the Events program at ASU and specializes in event finance.

Korrie Brown Gernert has worked at ASU since 2011 in varying capacities. She has a Masters degree in Sustainable Tourism, a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Learning Design and Technologies. She currently serves as the Associate Director of Employer Relations on ASU’s Career Services team, and is a Faculty Associate with the School of Community Resources and Development, teaching tourism and leadership and professional development courses. Korrie is passionate about the future of work, the intersection of positive psychology and careers, the science of gratitude, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, the importance of self-care and life-long learning, travel and the power of place. She spends her free time traveling, running and hiking with her large family and group of friends. She also enjoys reading, eating local foods, listening to podcasts, teaching pilates, camping and kayaking.

Rebekka Goodman received her doctorate from the University of Exeter in human geography with a focus on sustainable development and tourism. She is currently and associate teaching professor and oversees Tourism Development and Management degrees (undergrad and grad) with a focus on sustainable tourism with the School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University. Goodman has nearly 10 years of experience in curriculum development in sustainability and tourism including the creation and implementation of study abroad programs in Switzerland, Mexico, Chile, Guatemala, and Australia and Fiji.

Lena graduated from Arizona State University with a Master’s in Sustainable Tourism in 2018. Since then, she has turned her passion for tourism and Arizona into a rewarding career at the Arizona Office of Tourism, where she works as the Director of Stewardship. In 2025, Lena serves as a faculty assistant at Arizona State University, where she hopes to contribute her industry expertise to support and engage the next generation of tourism professionals.
When she’s not working to advance Arizona’s tourism industry, Lena enjoys making lifelong memories with her three children.

Evan Senat is a recent alum and current staff member at ASU. She graduated in May of 2026 with her Master’s in Sustainable Tourism and a Certificate is Social Entrepreneurship and Community Development. She works as Associate Operations Coordinator of Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing (the old ASU President’s Cottage) and also serves as sole tour guide of the historic property. She has been a member of TSA for two years and is excited to continue to support the organization as an alum!
