Bio

Growing up in Mississippi, Kassandra Salas moved back to her father’s hometown of Mesa, Arizona in 2009. Ever since then, Kassandra has earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies and a minor in Art History at Arizona State University, where she is also working on her Master’s in Liberal Studies (Film and Media Studies.) She currently works as a Coordinator Senior at the Student Success Center at Arizona State University and has previously written music reviews for the music blog The Grey Estates. Kassandra is a self-proclaimed film and art nerd who found her love of film thanks to her father and mother. This project would have never come to be if it wasn’t for her father sharing his love of horror films with Kassandra and her mother sharing her love of all things supernatural and macabre. Thanks to this, she was able to see horror for the grotesque and mysterious beauty that it is.

Special Thanks To:

To my partner Evan Dorney for staying up late at night to edit my podcasts for my classes and being my most supportive and best podcast co-host for the past two years of me being in this program. I would not have gotten the confidence to sit and talk about all my favorite things nonstop if it wasn't for him!
