Prof. Jeonglae Kim
Biography:
I am an assistant professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Arizona State University. I received my Ph.D. at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the field of computational aeroacoustics and jet-noise reduction. During my post-doctoral study at Cornell University, I studied on simulating turbulent premixed combustion using the Lagrangian LES/PDF formulation. Before joining ASU, I was a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Turbulence Research, Stanford University, studying a variety of turbulent flows involving multi-physics phenomena using novel high-performance computing. I received B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University, after which I pursued a few years of industry career in computational fluid dynamics engineering.
