Introduction
"As a singer, I am always looking for songs that can touch people's hearts, as well as convey a deeper message. So for this portion of my Portfolio, I'd like to share a song with you that I recorded that conveys the theme if you will, of my life; and that theme is to always "Go The Distance." Whether it's in sports, academics, your career, or your personal growth, I believe that if you give it all you've got, you not only will have a life, but you will have a life worth living. Please click on the video below to listen. I hope you enjoy it."

About Me
My name is Heather Towell, I live in Rio Rico, Arizona, and I am fifty years old. Fifty years old? In college? That's right. Now that I've gotten through the hard part, I'm ready to pursue a degree in Business which is exactly what I want to spend the rest of my life making an impact with. As a young adult, I worked in customer service, insurance, medical billing, collections, fraud, and Business Development in the state of Arizona, and I also worked as a Paralegal with the Public Defenders Office in Kenai, Alaska where I lived for 16 years. Currently, I am raising my eleven and twelve year old grandchildren here in Rio Rico, Arizona, and am attending college with ASU full-time.
Outside of that, I have been married for twenty-four years to my husband Ryan who is the love of my life, and in total, I have 4 children, six grandchildren, two cats, and one crazy chihuahua named Benjamin Franklin the 3rd. And that would lead me to telling you that giving my animals crazy names is one of my crazy quirks. You only live life once...so you might as well laugh along the way!
Some accomplishments that stand out in my life are that I sang the National Anthem for the Phoenix Suns twice in my life and have had two songs picked up by Mercury Records. When it comes to hobbies, I enjoy road trips with my family, with San Diego being my favorite place in the world, and I love writing songs, singing songs, playing piano, and guitar, dancing, exercising, and home-roasting coffee beans.
When it comes to my professional goals I would like to obtain a degree in Business Administration and pursue an internship with either Raytheon or Northrop Grumman as a Program Manager or Contract Manager, with my ultimate goal being to become an employee of either company. I want to partner with these companies because they are standing on the forefront of defense technology and manufacturing and are developing technologies like unmanned drones that remotely travel both by air and by sea. If I can play just a small part in the development, implementation, and distribution of these advanced weapons for our country's military, then I will be doing my part as a contributing member of our future and of our world.
