The RealTime7 Inc. VIPER AI Camera is a security camera that aims to have real-time object detection and recognition. The Java and C++ Application Development team worked on implementing security features such as AES and RSA encryption and decryption as well as efficient UDP communication between cameras and brokers. The team also worked on image processing functions in Python such as discrete Fourier transform, high-pass and low-pass filtering, and edge detection algorithms that will be used in future work in object detection and recognition.

Our project is focused on the application of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) on a drone. SLAM refers to a class of algorithms that can curate an accurate map of its surroundings using sensors to determine the location of a device relative to its surroundings. This team is developing a simulation testing environment to examine different SLAM algorithms and analyze their mapping data.
Our team created a data extraction tool in python which finds and exports the name, date, weight, and body condition score of dogs from pdf vet records of varying formats into a formatted .csv file. We used the pypdf for text extraction and analysis and pytesseract and pfd2image libraries for ocr extraction.
