Sections 1-4: 3 minutes
Sections 5-9: 2 minutes
Total: 5 minutes
Record the presentation of your five minute pitch narrative with an accompanying pitch deck.
The expected recording format is “picture-in-picture” style.
In other words, you should aim to record your slide deck being shown on your desktop while also recording your face(s) and voice(s) with a webcam as you advance through each slide. Here is an example:
In order to record your pitch using this format, please consider the following recording tool options:
If you are aware of any other useful recording tools, please go ahead and use them.
If you cannot record your webcam and deck at the same time, you must record the deck visually and narrate over the top, instead of recording your face(s) and referring to the deck in a separate file.
If using Zoom or ScreenCast-O-Matic, save your recording to a hard drive or the cloud and create a sharable public link.
If using YouTube, Vimeo, or similar, upload your recording to the web and set viewing permissions as appropriate.
If you have never made a video recording, do a quick Google search on the topic to learn how.
