IgnitED Labs
IgnitED Labs is a program operated by Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. There are 3 IgnitED Lab spaces across the ASU campus. The IgnitED Lab on West operates within the DesignLab, as part of co-location and facility sharing arrangement.
What are the IgnitED Labs?
The IgnitED Labs were designed to go beyond the scope of traditional computer labs and provide Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College students, faculty, and staff opportunities to create knowledge and skill sets through emerging technologies. These innovative spaces allow users to create and tweak, tinker and play, and ultimately improve the learner experience through their discoveries.
Explore New and Emerging Technology
Get hands on with new and emerging technology in the IgnitED Labs. All locations are collaborative, open, exploratory spaces built to allow users to play and create with emerging technologies that will be part of the classroom of tomorrow such as: virtual (VR) and augmented (AR) reality, robotics, telepresence robots, internet of things (IoT) devices, coding, 3-D printing, as well as machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced electronic and mechanical engineering equipment where applicable.
Our aim is to provide an engaging and supportive learning environment to help foster the spirit of intrapreneurship and innovation within the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and the ASU community. No experience is required to jump in and explore the labs. Whether you want to come test out a new tool, or platform, or come explore the space, we encourage you to join us and let the excitement begin.
Experience the Labs
The IgnitED Labs are open to all ASU students, faculty, and staff. We currently operate three Labs across the Phoenix area ASU campus network, with locations at Tempe Campus, Polytechnic Campus, and West Campus. Walk-ins are welcome during hours of operation, no appointments or scheduling is required. If you have a group (or class) and would like to arrange a workshop, training, or demonstration, please contact our staff. We will do our best to work with you to facilitate creative experiences in the IgnitED Labs.

IgnitED Specific Equipment and Resources:
The equipment listed below is available as part of our co-operative operation with Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and IgnitED Labs.
This equipment is available for use by all users of IgnitED Labs and the DesignLab, however given the limited availability, we request that Teachers College users be given priority in the use of this equipment as it specific to their course of the study and they frequently have class assignments to complete based on the use this equipment.
