Puribot is an autonomous air purifying robot designed to detect and remove contaminants in the air that can cause or aggravate existing health issues such as asthma and other lung diseases. These contaminants come from construction, smoke, tobacco, cooking odors, dust and pet dander. The robot wonders around a room and automatically turns its fan on whenever it detects contaminants. In the following video clips the students demonstrate how the robot detects a VOC plume and starts its fan.
