Post meeting questions posed:
Questions for Kevin Dooley:
He mentioned that he would share his slide deck - can we see those? 1 - recycle question #3 from above. I believe Kevin was one that had worked with republic services.
2. Follow up to that - he showed us a slide that represented the typical waste found in a household in phoenix, by category and quantity. Does he know of any such data on small format waste? Do we know what highest % of items are in small format so we can target those first?
3. With all the technological advancements he's seen, does he believe that a pure tech solution is out there? or is it more a system challenge? what critical events need to happen in order to change the current recycling landscape? if 3M took 25 years to develop impactful change, what are the factors that can be identified in that process and expedited?
4. We've seen that policy has struggled to keep up with innovation (social media, tech firms, data security/privacy) and there is currently a bill in congress to introduce new recycling practices. What place does national policy have to motivate change in real time?
