Immunotherapy Manufacturing Discrete Simulation

Immunotherapy is a form of cancer treatment that improves the body’s immune system and trains one’s body to attack cancerous cells. This process is highly personalized for each patient and is thus an expensive and slow process. This discrete event simulation helps portray what an ideal supply chain manufacturing system would look like for the western United States optimizing the Immunotherapy creation for more widespread care.

Quantumclean Capstone Project

The main goal of the project is to make process maps and perform time studies on the top 9 major product lines. To do this, we will collect detailed step-by-step data to feed capacity models, and each intern will complete one ergonomic assessment at a different step of the process. The end goal is to reduce error and process time to make a more efficient process and reduce WIP.

Recruiting Optimization

Throughout the Air Force recruiting process, there are countless steps that need to be accomplished. Without a formal process guide to follow, each recruiter would make mistakes or devote too much time to re-accomplishing tasks. There was an overwhelming need for a product that allows for easy tracking and confirmation that no steps or documentation had been missed.

MPT Tracking Tool

My project takes data input from maintenance teammates and creates a database to track the number of times a particular piece of equipment has been worked on, the length of time each task has taken, and what type of job was performed. This data correlates to costs and expenses already stored within the MPT Tracking Tool. The MPT Tracking Tool provides maintenance and production managers with data categorized and displayed in interactive graphs and tables, allowing the management team accurately to decide which equipment needs repairs or replacement.

Mass Change NASA Mission

The Mass Change project was selected by NASA because it has valuable Earth science goals of recording the amount of polar ice melting, sea level changes, and the flow of water across the earth. The project is based on Grace-FO mission heritage: using two spacecrafts orbiting earth and a laser ranging instrument system to detect gravitational variations which would detect changes in water and ice density. The mission is planned to be launched in 2027.

CIM Simulation Capstone Project

The CIM SCAI Manufacturing Lab project is a two-phase project in which students will first learn the software needed to operate the equipment and machinery used in the ASU Manufacturing Lab. Following this initial phase, students will have the opportunity to manipulate, and construct different types of computer integrated simulations in which a variety of processes including inventory selection and management as well as quality inspection and assurance, can be replicated and modified to fulfill a desired function. By the end of the Spring 2022 semester, each team member should know how to use the CIM Manager Station as well as their respective additional assigned roles at a high level of efficiency. Each team member should be able to modify parameters, develop software, and effectively manage their system. The team will manufacture a physical product out of acrylic using the complete CIM system.
