About The Design School
at Arizona State University
The Design School at Arizona State University is part of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts and brings togethedisciplines including Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design.
The school, situated at the point where design, culture and innovation meet, promotes interdisciplinary, life-focused and future-oriented methods in both design education and practice. The Design School links up emerging designers with industry and international opportunities through events such as the ASU London Design Experience, seeing design as a means of inquiry, experimentation, dialogue, and impact.
Director & Professor,
The Design School
Professor Paola Sanguinetti is the director of The Design School. She has two decades of teaching experience in architecture and computational design. She received
a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Kansas, a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, and a PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in high performance buildings and design computation.
