Welcome to the new TAN website! Please visit often as we add training resources and let us know if you have a resource to contribute.
Grant-funded projects that focus on the dissemination and implementation of innovations often include providing participant training to ensure the fidelity of the project design and delivery. The TAN is designed to collaborate with each TT to support the PI development and implementation of the methods and training activities in TT member grant proposals.
The Training AN will continue to build and sustain a training team of faculty and staff across the college. This network will partner with TT leads to develop an infrastructure and provide PIs with ongoing support and technical assistance. The AN will support project team training plans and assist with developing grant-required training components that support intervention delivery and fidelity. The infrastructure will consist of sets of targeted asynchronous training resources that are designed and delivered using the most current, evidence-based instructional design and technology-supported approaches.
The Training AN will partner with TT leads to identify, develop, and deliver a range of focused training resources that address the unique needs within each TT focus area. Trainings topics for TTs could include:
Build training resources that assist team members to fully engage in TT projects
Address the appropriate match between grant types and associated common methodologies
Explore research opportunities and methodologies involving undergraduate and graduate students
Address the primary methodologies that are associated with different grant opportunities
The Training AN will provide workshops that support PI engagement with CHS Grant Team and ORSPA grant development processes. The AN will also provide PI consultation and assistance with developing training support plans that address training-related needs in each of the five project planning stages:
1. Project conceptualization - consider the training needs required of project participants in collaboration with targeted community stakeholders
2. Proposal development and budgeting - consider the tools and resources needed to conduct the training(s) and related expenses
3. Building capacity - develop a training plan design targeting each project participant’s set of competencies
4. Delivering intervention or program - develop and implement training materials and resources
5. Evaluate impact and effectiveness - develop a training program fidelity and impact evaluation plan
