Operation Feed & Read
Join us in supporting Operation Feed & Read, a COUGS CARE tailgate service project in partnership with the BYU Alumni Association, BYU David O. McKay School of Education and ASU Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College.
Operation Feed & Read will gather food donations to benefit Arizona families in need and will also collect books and raise funds for reading and literacy programs supported by ASU America Reads program.
Operation Read:
Through Operation Read, we aim to collect 2,000 new or gently used books to build and stock libraries in schools and community centers that are part of the America Reads program. We also seek to raise funds to advance literacy and educational development in underprivileged areas.
Our beneficiaries are all partners in ASU’s America Reads Program:
AZURA LITERACY is a new America Reads partner and any financial donations received will benefit the ASU America Reads programs above.
Boys & Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale supporting Lehi and Red Mountain Branches on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community: Our initiative will create a small library of books authored by and written about Native Americans, ensuring that children in these communities have access to stories that represent their lives and experience.
Mesa Public Schools supporting Whitman and Whittier Elementary Schools: We’re excited to bring a portion of our books and financial support to these schools, enhancing their library resources and enriching their literacy programs. Our goal is to spark a love for reading and learning in every student.
Vista College Prep in Phoenix: We’re thrilled to help build and stock a new library at Vista College Prep, providing students with essential resources that will fuel their development and inspire their futures.
