About Us
History
Dedicated to spreading awareness of Asian Heritage into the ever expanding field of medicine, AMSO provides pre-med students with many resources as well as events which allow them to make meaningful connections and acquire knowledge beyond the classroom. The pre-med journey can be a very difficult one and with the help of AMSO, students can reach out to fellow members about questions and advice for the long journey ahead. AMSO hopes to bridge the gap between upperclassmen and the lowerclassmen by nurturing a welcoming, friendly environment from which both parties can grow and meet potential new friends. We hope this will allow for students to feel more interconnected on campus and achieve the best results possible in their pre med journey. AMSO is dedicated to instilling these five pillars in its members: Leadership, Asian Awareness, Community, Morality, and Character. It is our hope that these pillars will guide us into creating the best experience for our members and contribute to their medical journey ahead. Organizations such as- Latino Medical Association, Black Medical Association, and the American Medical Women’s Association - have existed for a long time with their respective campuses which is why we believe that we needed to create a club in order to spread awareness and representation of all the pan Asian cultures.
Our Leadership Team
Our club team consists of a group of highly motivated students who are committed to organizing a community of pre-med students that are able to collaborate and progress towards their individual medical goals while being integrated in and involved with a group of students with similar interests. If interested in a leadership position or interested in more information about the club please reach out to us through email (amsoasu19@gmail.com ) or social media handles (Insta: asu_amso, Facebook: @ASUAMSO )
