GRADING
This course will follow the high school grading scale.
ASU Prep Grade Scale
A 100% to 90%
B < 90% to 80%
C < 80% to 70%
D < 70% to 60%
F < 60% to 0%
GRADING CATEGORIES
Your course will be divided into three different categories with the following weights:
10% Discussion Based Assessment (DBA)
10% Live Lesson Participation
40% 4 C's (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity)
40% Challenge Deliverable
MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS POLICY
In Canvas, students automatically receive 2 attempts on Unit Tests. Note: Multiple attempts are not permitted for the Semester Final Exam; students will receive 1 attempt on the Semester Final Exam.
PACE CHECK
Zeros are automatically assigned to missing assignments after the due date passes. Once you complete the assignment, the zero will be removed once a grade is assigned. The zero system is there to help you stay on pace. You will not be penalized for submitting assignments late; however, I strongly recommend that you stay on pace and not fall behind. For students that are falling behind, I will reach out to offer help and guidance. Remember, you are ultimately responsible for your success in this course, and I encourage you to be responsible for your work.
