ALL SENIORS MUST TAKE:
Two semesters of English (choose from the following)
Language Arts 12 (2nd semester Language Arts 12 is required for all students who do not take AP English)
AP English Language (year long class)
Creative Writing A or B (semester each)
Exploring True Crime (semester)
American Government (semester)
Personal Finance (semester)
Health 2 (semester)
Senior Project (year long)
MANY SENIORS WILL ALSO NEED:
Social Science Elective - 1 semester, choose from the following:
Psychology of Behavior and Development (Semester 1)
Psychology of Human Relations (Semester 2)
Anthropology
Superhero Sociology
Current Issues (not considered college prep)
History of Astoria (not considered college prep)
History of Mexico (not considered college prep)
It is strongly encouraged that seniors continue to take Math and Science courses in their senior year even if they have met these graduation requirements.
Seniors must forecast for a full schedule their senior year, but can forecast for up to two Sr Opens each semester. Seniors must have a minimum of 5 courses on their schedule each semester to participate in the Graduation Ceremony, not including Senior Project or advisory.
