How we use it. 

Energy is a topic that none of us can escape. Our lives depend on energy: storing and cooking our food, staying warm, travelling, working and entertainment. Energy powers our everyday lives.

Yet with energy come challenges. Fossil fuels - gas, oil, coal and peat - have been our main energy source for the longest time but their supply is limited, they produce CO2 which causes climate change and their extraction and preparation for use is expensive.

The first focus of this website is to support an online course created in cooperation with and for communities in County Clare under a programme run by Clare Local Development Company (CLDC). Please see below for more information and how to get involved.
