Major in: Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) with specialization in Home Economics
This program is commonly known as family and consumer sciences which focuses on understanding daily issues and improving aspects of life that impact individual, families, and communities, such as relationship, shelter, clothing, and nutrition. The student could be able to develop knowledge and skills on Dress Design and Construction, Home Management, Food Service Operations and Management, and Commercial Arts and Handicraft.
In three to five years, our MAT graduates are expected to:
PEO1. Achieve a high level of expertise with relevant research that contributes to the holistic development of education and the teaching profession.
PEO2. Demonstrate success in their careers by becoming promoted as leaders in their professions and organizations.
PEO3. Contribute to the conduct of extension activities by demonstrating a sense of social and environmental responsibility.
Upon graduation, the MAT graduates should be able to:
PLO1. Upgrade and enrich technology, pedagogical, and content knowledge in Home Economics;
PLO2. Enhance and expand theoretical, conceptual, and practical knowledge for teaching specific subjects in Home Economics;
PLO3. Develop research capabilities for replicating, validating, contextualizing, and/or applying theories and principles on different aspects of the educational process;
PLO4. Demonstrate understanding of curriculum implementation and instructional strategies, promoting critical thinking, consistent with current theories on student growth and development.
PLO5. Apply a higher-order level of skill in analysis, critical assessment, and application and communication of knowledge in the teaching profession.
