First National Soil Health Summit attended by the faculty of ASSCAT. This summit, led by the Department of Agriculture (DA) in conjunction with the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM), sought to introduce a more systematic and comprehensive approach to addressing soil health issues in the country. The primary goal of the first NSHS was to encourage the sustainable use and effective management of soil resources to enhance crop productivity and the income of local farmers

The SHTCRI is a platform to establish soil health indices that complement crop productivity and sustainability for the improvement of soil programs and management of farmers promoting resilient crops and to establish sound technologies in consonance with precision agriculture thereby developing agronomic practices for high-valued crops suitable to the growing condition of the region.
