What is Second Date?

Second Date is an outdoor offseason social event. This year it will be held on the fields Algonquin High School. It's meant as a de-stressor after a long season of building and competing. There will be field games, food, and you can meet other teams. The event is July 26th, from 5-9pm at Algonquin Regional High School 79 Bartlett St, Northborough, MA 01532

How did Second Date start?

At FIRST World Championships in Houston 2023, FRC Teams 157 and 1100 decided to get some dinner together. The 1100 students decided to wear their finest attire. When asked by a mentor why everyone was dressed up, the students said, "We needed to dress nicely for our date with 157!!". This was the "First Date" between 157 and 1100.

The Second Date came about in the summer of 2023 when the students on 157 wanted to do something fun with 1100 and have a "second date." We thought the second date would be a good chance to get together, collaborate, and decompress from a build season of robots. All teams are welcome, and we hope to move the location each year to be all-inclusive to teams.
