We understand that some families are seeking alternative educational options in states with stringent homeschooling regulations. According to the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), an organization that protects the rights of homeschooling families, the following states are the hardest to homeschool in due to regulations:
New York
Pennsylvania
Vermont
Massachusetts
Rhode Island
North Dakota.
While ASPIRE Academy offers a dynamic learning environment for students at home, it does not claim to be a homeschool. Families are encouraged to research and understand their state's regulations to make informed decisions about using ASPIRE Academy as an educational choice.
While ASPIRE Academy allows students to learn from home in any state, families should assume it will not align with the specific state standards required for homeschooling in highly regulated states. ASPIRE Academy cannot offer local standards or a curriculum to satisfy unique requirements set by highly regulated states. Families who intend to utilize ASPIRE Academy as a "homeschool" option in highly regulated states should be aware that the school will not take an active role in complying with state homeschooling regulations. ASPIRE Academy will provide information through its regular reporting avenues, but is not able to provide information to families beyond what is available to all enrolled families. Families accept the full responsibility for reporting their child's educational progress and adhering to state requirements independently, without the involvement of ASPIRE.
