ONLY FOR HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS WANTING HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS:
In order for homeschool credits to be considered for transfer, ASPIRE Academy's Academic Standards Committee requires a comprehensive portfolio or documentation that demonstrates the student's academic achievements. THIS IS ONLY FOR HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT.
To be considered for transfer, each class must include:
Course Descriptions or Syllabi: A detailed description of each course completed, including topics covered, learning objectives, textbooks used, and any major assignments or projects undertaken.
Grading System: A clear explanation of the grading system used in homeschooling, including how grades are assigned and the criteria for determining a student's performance.
Method of Evaluation: An explanation of how the student's progress was assessed and evaluated throughout the homeschooling period. This could include exams, quizzes, essays, presentations, and other evaluation methods.
Curriculum Materials: Providing information about the curriculum materials used, such as textbooks, online resources, and educational software, can give the committee insight into the academic rigor of the homeschooling program.
Accreditation: Some homeschooling programs may be affiliated with regional or national accreditation organizations. If applicable, providing details about the accreditation status may bolster the credibility of the homeschooling program.
Standardized Test Scores: If the student has taken any standardized tests (e.g., PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP exams), including the scores may help provide an objective measure of academic performance.
Parent or Teacher Statement: A statement from the homeschooling parent or teacher summarizing the educational approach, goals, and successes of the homeschooling experience.
HOMESCHOOL ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED
Detailed records of courses taken, grades received, and the corresponding academic credits are required. The homeschooling parent or teacher should maintain an accurate and organized transcript that reflects the entire student's highschool experience.
