2026 Tournament Information

Who Can Participate?

Aspen View students in grades K-9 are eligible to compete in this year's tournament. High School students can attend this event if they show an interest in coaching a team or to help supervise younger students from their school. All equipment required to participate is provided by the school division including robotics kits. 

Chromebooks used for programming will need to be brought from each school. Please ensure there is one Chromebook that is charged per Div. II & III team that is participating. We recommend at least one spare Chromebook is brought along in case of technical issues per school.

There are three division levels of competition based on the grade level of student competitors.

Division I - Grades 1-3 

Division II - Grades 4-6 

Division III - Grades 7-9

Get Your Team Ready!

Teachers and AVPS Robotics Committee members at each school will help students interested in participating organize teams. Some important things to keep in mind when organizing teams: 

• Team Size: 2 students per team.

• Team Name: Each team must choose a unique and creative name!

• Team Identity: Teams should wear matching t-shirts or similar items to be easily identifiable.

• Team Coach / Supervisor: A teacher, educational assistant, high school volunteer, or parent / community volunteer can help coach / supervise a team. 

• Preparation: To ensure a successful experience for students participating, it is essential that teams are prepared and familiar with the equipment they are working with. It is required that each team completes the relevant training section for their division on this website before the tournament. Links to the training sections on the site can be found below.

Important Details

• Supervision: Schools must provide a sufficient number of staff to supervise students they bring.

• Bussing: Schools should arrange for their own bussing to the tournament. The costs for transportation will be covered by the division.

• Lunch: Students should plan to bring their own lunch or bring money to purchase from the Multiplex Canteen.

• Indoor Shoes: Students must wear clean indoor shoes inside the Multiplex Fieldhouse.

• Arrival: Teams should be arriving to the tournament by 10:00 AM to register and for opening comments. Tournament begins at 10:30 AM.

• Departure: Teams will depart back to their home communities at 2:00 PM.

• Registration: The registration deadline is April 17th, 2026 so it's best to start thinking about creating teams now.
