The K-8 Innovation Program is designed specifically for students who are formally identified for Gifted & Talented services or currently designated as Program & Monitor.
Participating students engage in sustained, student-driven inquiry connected to their strengths, interests, and areas of growth. Students develop an individual project over time and share their learning through the Innovation Showcase in March.
Students who are currently undergoing the identification process may join the program after becoming formally identified or being designated Program & Monitor, based on timeline and program expectations.
What about other advanced learners?
Aspen Ridge recognizes that many students demonstrate advanced learning needs, creativity, curiosity, and high potential. Students who are not identified or designated Program & Monitor will continue to receive appropriate differentiation and enrichment within the classroom. However, participation in the formal K-8 Innovation Program is reserved for identified and Program & Monitor students.
