Ongoing Hazard Considerations
The diagram above shows how a trip leader must consider how the task, the group, and each individual are managing the ever-changing environment.
Each leader has the duty to assess the dynamic state of the environmental hazards, as well as communicate with the group and individual participants to see how they are controlling for different risks. Leaders and chaperones should also communicate with each other throughout the day, either at predetermined times or locations, or as concerns arise.
