2026-27 ASD Ex Ed and ODE Dates 

 AHS

Ex Ed Week - August 17-21, 2026.  Some courses may depart as early as August 15th.  All courses will return by August 21st.

AMS

5th Grade - 5th-grade students will go to Arches with their “homeroom” teacher.  Teacher names will be linked to dates as soon as they are known, most likely the first week that staff are back on campus. 

• September 21-24, 2026 - 2 homerooms

• September 28 - October 1, 2026 - 1 homeroom

• October 5-8, 2026 - 2 homerooms

6th Grade - 6th-grade groups and classroom leaders will be announced in November or early December.  

• Group 1 (approx 18 students) February 8 - 10, 2027

• Group 2 (approx 18 students) February 10 - 12, 2027

• Group 3 (approx 18 students) February 22 - 24, 2027

• Group 4 (approx 18 students) March 8 -10, 2027

• Group 5 (approx 18 students) March 10-12, 2027

7th Grade @ Colorado River Daily Section - groups will be announced after Spring Break

• ½ grade April 26 - April 30, 2027

• ½ grade May 3-7, 2027

8th Grade - Whole grade at once, with some departing August 27, 2026, and the rest departing August 28, 2026.  They return to campus on September 3, 2026.  There will be no school for 8th graders on September 4, 2026.  

AES

Kindergarten @ Hallam Lake - Each student will go with their homeroom teacher.  Leaders will select their dates when we return in August.

1st Grade @ Toklat and Ashcroft Ski Touring - Each student will go with their homeroom teacher.  Leaders will select their dates when we return in August.

• February 2-3, 2027

• March 2-3 2027

• March 9-10, 2027

2nd Grade @ Rock Bottom Ranch - Two classes at a time.  Leaders will select their dates when we return in August

• May 6-7, 2027

• May 13-14, 2027

3rd Grade @ Sylvan Lake - Students will go with their homeroom teachers.  If there are 5 classrooms, then we will do a group of 2 classes and a group of 3 classes

• ½ the students September 28-30, 2026

• ½ the students September 30 - October 2, 2026

4th Grade  - Whole grade attends both sessions

• Fall @ Denver September 15-16, 2026

• Spring @ Mesa Verde May 10-14, 2027
