Screencastify Unlimited is free now!
Google Meets can record your lesson. You can go to meet.google.com or schedule yourself a calendar invite. When you're in a Private Meet with yourself, then go into presenter mode to show your screen, click the three dots on the bottom right corner, record and talk your way through the slides. Google Meets will export your lesson to Google Drive and you'll receive an email when it's uploaded.
You can access Screencastify (Chris Durham pushed this out to every ASD computer). If you don’t have it, go to the Chrome Web Store , download and then sign into the extension. The basic account has a record limit of 5 mins in the basic version. It saves those videos into your Google Drive which is nice.
If you feel like this would be a good option but you need more than 5 mins please email Chris Durham (cdurham@aspenk12.net)
You can also add an audio clip to a Google Slide and just share the slideshow. Students would click on the audio link inside the slide where you would explain what is on that slide. The audio file must be uploaded to Google Drive first and shared with students. You can create audio clips on vocaroo.com, online-voice-recorder.com or any online audio recorder.
Create your own audio clip to insert into your Slides. Don't forget to import it into your Drive, and change the sharing settings so that anyone with the link can view.
