Dr. Eva Ballard
Aspen University, School of Education
January 23, 2024 @ 9:00am PST
Abstract of the Session
Critical thinking has long been regarded as a fundamental skill in education, problem-solving, and decision-making. However, in today's complex and rapidly evolving world, the traditional approach to critical thinking is facing new challenges. The traditional model of critical thinking typically involves analyzing information, evaluating arguments, and forming rational judgments. While this approach remains valuable, it may no longer be sufficient in a world marked by information overload, rapid technological advancements, and an increasingly interconnected global society. Rethinking critical thinking involves expanding the scope of what it means to think critically and adapt the framework to contemporary needs.
