Opportunity: ConnecTEEN is a summer volunteer program for students interested in serving their community and connecting with STEM professionals. This application-only program allows teens to engage with Museum guests through hands-on activities related to our 11 permanent exhibit halls. Participants will build 21st-century skills through industry-specific workshops, workforce readiness sessions, and team-building opportunities.

Opportunity: Dallas Ripple will bring together 40 high school students from various backgrounds throughout the city of Dallas with the idea of generating dialogue and educating the students about the racial issues citizens of different parts of the city face. The students will be exposed to various venues throughout the city (women’s shelters, police headquarters, law firms, schools, etc.) to gain a better understanding of the issues citizens face depending on their socio-economic and racial backgrounds. Dallas Ripple will culminate with the students organizing a class project to help bring about change to the unrest between police and racial minorities.
