Noemi

My name is Noemi Ponce, and I am a rising senior at Francis W. Parker HS. I have been part of the Darkroom Photography program at After School Matters for seven sessions. I am interested in portraiture, specifically photographing my family. For my Artists Homage project, I created photographs to mimic the work of Hiroshi Sugimoto. I was intrigued by his decision to capture blurry details of different buildings across the world. I chose to do the same and photograph architecture located in the center of downtown Chicago.
