Clubs and Initatives

At ASM, we have a great selection of groups and chats for parents in our community. Whether you're new to Milan or not, there is something for everyone. We are ALWAYS open to new propositions so please do not hesitate to reach out. ASM is an incredibly diverse community and we strive to spread and grow our connections. Feel free to reach out to ptoboard@asmilan.org if you'd like to propose something.  

PTO Tours: Fabiana organizes monthly tours all over Milan for parents, allowing them to explore the city, its amazing culture, history, design, and architecture. It's a lot of fun, and it's enriching to see families become closer and closer to the city and to each other! ptotours@asmilan.org -- organized by Babette Verbeek with help from Giro Tours, Fabiana Pellicciari

PTO Book Club:  The discussions are in English, but you can read or listen to the book in the language of your choice. Join by Whatsapp here

PTO Languages: Language classes are starting this fall. We currently have classes in Italian and English. ptolanguages@asmilan.org, led by Elisa Quintavilla for Italian and Elizabeth Yanev for English. We are always looking to expland our language clubs! PTO Cinema: The club organizes a monthly viewing of a movie in English (versione originale). Join other ASM parents for a night at the Sala Nobel inside the Anteo Cinema! Operated in collaboration with Eataly, the prestigious gourmet food hall, it is an exceptional screening room where dinner is served while viewing the movie. ptocinema@asmilan.org  -- organized by Elisa Quintavilla and Babette Verbeek

The Parents Connect @ASM Is a WhatsApp chat group for parents to share information and connect with other ASM parents in a positive and considerate manner. Just bought a ticket to the cinema and want some company? This group is also great for questions about resources inside and outside the city, doctors, plumbers, etc. Link Here

Green Team: The ASM Green Team, made up of students, educators, and parents, is fervently driving environmental initiatives in the school community. They invite students to join them, offering opportunities to lead sustainability projects and develop vital life skills. Please contact us at greenteam@asmilan.org

PTO Second-Hand Store: Please bring your donations to the bins in the atrium of gently used sports, musical, ASM uniforms, and costumes (gear, clothing, and equipment). Parents can purchase items by donating to the PTO.  Foster sustainability in our community by reusing and recycling items you no longer need. We also have a Whatsapp chat in the ASM community chat where you sell items or give away items. Join whatsapp here

Grade Level Parents

The Grade Level Parents represent a vital link of support and communication between teachers and parents. The objective is to strengthen networking between parents and teachers of the same grade, enriching the children’s educational experience and enhancing community spirit. The Grade Level Parents take instructions from the teachers and either the Elementary Principal or  Upper School principal, and coordinate their efforts with the PTO.  Depending on the needs of the teachers, these parents help organize parent participation in class projects, field trips, and other events. They also help ensure school initiatives are well-publicized among parents in the grade level/classroom.

If interested in becoming a Grade Level parent they should inform the Elementary or Upper School Coordinators or the PTO Board.
