Winners of our First Lancer Legion Competition:
🥉3rd Place – Derek Guallapa-Lliguichuzhca with 19 necklaces
🥈2nd Place – Bruno Perrusi with 20 necklaces
🥇1st Place – Lucia Ruiz with an impressive 35 necklaces
The winners should find Ms. Cotillo on Monday or on Tuesday morning at the beginning of snack break time to collect their prizes.

TED x ASM Youth 2026: Speaker Applications!
Want to share your awesome ideas on stage? Applications are now open for you to become a speaker at the TEDx ASM Youth 2026 event!
What's the theme? It's "Culture in Motion." This means discussing the exciting and changing ways that traditions, values, and ideas shape us and our community.
When is the event? Friday, February 6, 2026.
Application Deadline: Monday, November 3rd, 2025.

THANK YOU for returning the balls immediately when the whistles blow. Mr. Nugent is hungry and wants to go to lunch!
Pull-up bars are off limits
Bathrooms outside are off limits. Students should use the bathrooms in the MS.
Students are now welcome to use the MS Commons (steps and open space only) during recess time to work, relax, or play ping pong, board games, or the piano.
Students are not allowed to be upstairs in the MS, including the bathrooms, or behind the steps.
Taking Care of our MS 🧹
Clean up after yourselves, especially during snack time, with crumbs and wrappers. If you see something on the floor, pick it up, even if it’s not yours.
Push in chairs in our common spaces.
MS Shout Outs 🤩
Have you noticed someone in our MS community doing something for which they should be recognized? Someone going out of their way to be kind to others? Someone pushing through a challenge? Someone going the extra mile with their effort? Complete this Google Form, so that you can SHOUT them OUT at our October MS community meeting. Go Lancers!

Oct. 30-31 Learning Conferences
Nov 3: ASM Pep Rally! Block 1 dismissed at 10:05 to attend. Event runs from 10:10-10:50 on Upper Field.
Grade 8
Make sure to turn in your purple permission slips for leaving campus from 4-5. They should be turned in to Ms. Sandoval in the office.
Remember to pick up after yourself in the cafeteria and when eating outside.

Need help or support at school? Here’s who you can turn to in addition to your teachers and advisor:
Mr. Chambers is there if you need someone to talk to about your feelings, friendships, or any other challenges.
Mr. Hofschire and Ms. Thorp (Learning Support Teachers) can help you with strategies and tools to make learning and organization easier and more successful.
Ms. Cotillo works with students and teachers to keep our school safe, respectful, and positive, and supports students through challenges and ideas for improving our community.
Mr. Nugent leads the school and supports both students and teachers so everyone can do their best.
