Varsity Girls Volleyball

In this past tournament, we placed second, and while we know we did not play at our absolute best, we walked away with something just as important, a stronger team bond. One of the most important things about our team is how we support and motivate each other; we all want to see the best version of one another. Even though the games didn’t go exactly how we wanted, our hard work still showed, and we’re proud of the effort we’ve put in. We know we are capable of more, and although some of us won't be on the team next year, we are excited for the team to come back even stronger the next time!
Additionally, I want to give a special shout-out to Liz, who made it on the All-Star team of the tournament. Not only did she give an amazing performance, but her attitude during the whole tournament stood out just as much, always positive and making sure everyone was motivated.
We also want to thank our coach, Marta, who is constantly pushing us to improve, training us to improve our weaknesses while keeping us motivated. She never stops believing in us, even when she knows we are not performing at our best, and her support pushes us to become better every day. Beyond an amazing coach she is an amazing person, we are very grateful to be able to train with her.
Also thank you to Coaches Delfi, Dani, Oscar, and Juan Carlos, who were also at the tournament, and although they were training other teams, they also were a big support. The boys' volleyball team and the JV girls never failed to cheer for us, we are beyond grateful for all of your support!
This tournament reminded us that success in sports is not just about winning, but about growth, both as a team and individually. We are proud of what we have accomplished and very excited for what is to come. With the amazing team we have and the leadership of our coach we can only get better.
