What is StuCo's Advisor Choice Program?
StuCo's Advisor Choice Program gives all students the opportunity to switch advisories for the coming year, in order to get the most out of the advisory system which has been designed to give students a teacher that they can trust. The form to change advisories will be released later this year once the list of advisors for each grade has been finalized.
The form will give you the option to either stay in your current advisory or move to a new one. If you opt to move advisories, you may rank your five top choices for your new advisors based on the list for your grade. You will also be asked what qualities you want in an advisor to help match you to a suitable advisory.
If you do not fill out the form, you will remain in your current advisory. For students whose advisors are leaving at the end of this year, you may either choose to stay with your current advisory group by choosing that option on the form, or you may choose to move advisories regardless of who your advisory’s new advisor is.
For rising seniors who will be in peer leadership next year, there will be an option to select on the form to indicate that status.
Current sophomores/rising juniors are not required to switch advisories.
If you have any questions about the advisor choice process, please do not hesitate to contact a StuCo Rep or the Academic Committee Leadership.
