I am a DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance Early Career Fellow at the Department of Biological Sciences, Ashoka University, India. Prior to this, I was a B4 postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, USA. I completed my doctoral studies at Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER)-Pune, India.[Website]

A basic understanding of computational/mathematical modelling is an essential component of modern higher-education and research. This tool is particularly relevant for Biological systems, which are often inherently very complex. In combination with experimental skills, a solid foundation of computational/mathematical modelling can broaden your academic portfolio considerably. Thus, if you are interested but have no prior experience, you should give it a wholehearted try!

I am a second year undergraduate student and a Biomedical Computation Intern at the Integrative Genetics and Evolution Lab at Ashoka University. I am interested in how computational modelling, data science and machine learning can be integrated to find innovative solutions to chronic diseases.

I took Computational/Mathematical Biology in Spring 2021. The course challenged me in the best way possible and pushed me to follow my interests in the field. I hope you have an incredible experience in the course as well! :)
