(Information on each event will be communicated via traditional paper letters sent home with students and shared on the band's Facebook page. All events are required, graded events. All events occur afterschool except where noted otherwise. Please contact Ms. Skiles if you have any questions.)

August 2026

27th: Instrument & Equipment Virtual Rental Night - Open to any AMS Band student who needs to purchase their own method book, drum sticks/mallets, instrument, and any other band-related equipment via our music stores: Music & Arts or Sweetwater.

October 2026

6th: Century Resources Fundraiser starts (All grades)
TBA: AMS Powderpuff Games (TBD & 8th Grade, During School)
23rd: Football MS Band Night @ AMS (8th Grade)

November 2026

TBA: Veterans Day Concert (7th/8th Band, During School)
TBA: All-District Band Auditions @ Rowan County HS (Optional 7th/8th Grade)

December 2026

Early, TBA: Winter Concert @ AMS - 6:30pm call time, 7:00pm start, Gym (All)

January 2027

11th thru 12th: All-District Band Weekend @ Paramount Arts Center (Select 7th/8th Grade)

February 2027

27th: Solo & Ensemble Festival @ Boyd County HS (Optional to All)

April 2027

TBA: After school rehearsals for Concert Band Assessment (7th/8th Grade)
13th OR 14th (one day only, will announce which as soon as possible): Concert Band Assessment @ Morehead State University (7th/8th Grade)

May 2027

TBA: Spring Concert @ AMS - 6:30pm call time, 7:00pm start, Gym (All)
