Showing up 10 or more minutes late (by the school clock) counts as an unexcused absence.
After your second absence from a Wednesday morning meeting, you will receive a “warning” letter
After your third absence from a Wednesday morning meeting, you will no longer serve as a student council member
Responsibility Requirements:
We are counting on you to attend all events that you sign up to help for
If you realize after you sign up that you cannot attend an event, let Mr. Wiczer know before the event and it won’t count against you.
After the second time you fail to show up for an event that you signed up for (including helping at a specific lunch period), you will receive a “warning” letter
After the third time you fail to show up for an event that you signed up for (including helping at a specific lunch period), you will no longer serve as a student council member

Chemical Health Requirements:
Members of the Student Council are leaders of the school and must act as role models to the Ashland High School student body. Because of this responsibility, members of the Student Council will be held to higher standards of chemical health than other clubs, organizations and the rest of the student body. No Student Council member or class officer should, regardless of the quantity, use, consume, possess, buy/sell, or give away any beverage containing alcohol; any tobacco product (including e-cigarettes, VAPE pens and all similar devices); marijuana (including synthetic); steroids; or any controlled substance. This policy includes products such as “NA or near beer”. It is not a violation for a student to be in possession of a legally defined drug specifically prescribed for the student’s own use by his/her doctor. If a violation is reported, a hearing will be held before the principal, the dean(s), the Student Council advisor(s), and/or the class advisor(s). For failure to adhere to this policy, the elected or non-elected member of the Student Council will be immediately removed from any held office and will no longer be an active Student Council member.
