Activity overview: You are going to create an animation using Google Slides. The sailboat image in the animation below was created using the shape tools and the paint bucket tool. The clouds, sun, birds and buoy are clip art images that I inserted from slides (Insert/image/search the web). This animation consists of 38 slides.
You can click here to see what the Google Slide presentation looks like for this animation.
Your animation can be simple or detailed. You could have one moving part or multiple moving objects. It's entirely up to you. Many of the resources I looked at on line, start out with a stick figure that you create using the shape tool.
My first stop motion animation was my bitmoji dancing across the screen.
Step 1
Create, name and make a blank slide
Step 2
Creating your first slide with the image you want to animate. You will duplicate each slide. One short stop motion animation might take over 65 slides.
Quick mini lesson review on selecting objects to move
This is a quick review of how to select all the components of your image so that the entire image moves. You wouldn't want to leave a foot behind.
Step 3
Publishing your slide/animation to the web as a link
Copy the published link and email it to me. I'd love to put them all on my website or in the June issue of MMM Jr.
