Creating a google slide presentation

How to create and properly name your presentation

Word Art

Word Art is great to use to title each slide because each slide should have a focused topic

Text boxes

In Google slides you need to add text boxes to your slide. You can edit the text in the slide just like you would in a Google doc. Just remember to select the text (highlight it) first; then you can make changes to text color, font and size.

Your first slide (your title slide) should have:

1. Your topic created using word art

2. Your name in a text box

3. A background that is an image of your topic.

Here's an example

Background for title slide

I like to have an image as a background on the title slide because there's not a lot of text on the title slide. The title slide should grab the viewers attention and the background image and word art can do that. I recommend only using an image as a background on the title slide.
