Can I use my insurance?
Yes — some of our clinicians are in-network with select insurance providers. Coverage varies depending on which therapist you see and your specific plan. Once you choose a clinician, we’ll verify your benefits and help you understand what your out-of-pocket cost may be. Currently, our accepted insurances include:
Aetna
Ambetter
Amerigroup
Anthem/BCBS
Caresource
Catasys
Cigna
HealthSmart PPO
Humana
Multiplan
Oscar
Optum/UBH/UMR
Peachstate
Tricare
UnitiedHealthCare
If your clinician is out-of-network, we can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement through your insurance plan.
What are the benefits of paying privately for therapy?
Private pay offers more freedom and privacy in your care. Clients often choose this option because:
No mental health diagnosis is required.
Your information stays confidential — nothing is shared with insurance.
You can choose any clinician, even if they are not paneled with insurance.
You and your therapist decide session length, frequency, and treatment approach without limitations from insurance policies.
How do I know which type of counseling is best for me?
That depends on what you’re hoping to work on. We offer several types of therapy, including:
Individual Counseling: for personal growth, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or emotional support.
Couples Counseling: for communication, conflict resolution, healing disconnection, or strengthening your relationship.
Family Counseling: for navigating family dynamics, parenting concerns, or shared stressors.
If you’re unsure what fits best, your free initial consultation will help us determine the right approach based on your goals and comfort level.
Do you offer virtual (telehealth) sessions?
Yes — we offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for clients located in states where our clinicians are licensed to practice. Many clients appreciate the flexibility and accessibility of meeting online.
What can I expect in my first session?
Your first session is a chance for you and your therapist to get to know each other. You’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’re hoping to work on, and what support feels comfortable for you. Your therapist will answer questions and outline what therapy might look like moving forward. This is a collaborative, gentle starting point — no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.
How long is each therapy session?
Most sessions are 60 minutes, unless otherwise discussed with your clinician. Some clinicians also offer extended sessions when clinically appropriate or by request.
How often will I need to come to therapy?
Most clients begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions. As you progress, the frequency can shift based on what feels supportive and clinically appropriate. Therapy is individualized — we’ll decide together what pace best fits your goals.
What does it mean if my counselor is working under supervision?
Some of our therapists are pre-licensed clinicians who have completed their graduate training and are working toward independent licensure. They meet regularly with a seasoned, fully licensed clinical supervisor who provides guidance, case consultation, and mentorship.
Clients often appreciate working with pre-licensed clinicians because:
They offer high-quality care with fresh, evidence-based approaches.
They have more availability and flexibility.
Their session fees are typically lower.
You receive the benefit of both their expertise and the support of their supervisor.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule directly through our online portal or contact us by phone or email. If you’re unsure which therapist is the best fit, we’re happy to offer guidance.
Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
Availability varies by clinician. Some therapists offer evening options, and we can help you find a time that works with your schedule.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
We ask for advance notice (48 hours) if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a fee. Your therapist will review this policy with you at intake.
To help you keep track of your appointments, our system sends automated email and/or text reminders ahead of each session. These reminders are a courtesy, so we still encourage you to save your appointment time in your personal calendar — but they’re a helpful way to stay organized and reduce the chance of missing a session.
Can I switch therapists if I’m not feeling the right fit?
Absolutely. A strong therapeutic relationship is essential to good care. If you feel you’d connect better with someone else on our team, we will warmly support that transition.
