Could you please share the origins of the title "Galactic Prime Directive" and elaborate on the sources of inspiration behind it?

Our project leader, an avid enthusiast of space exploration, introduced the concept to the committee. Similarly, the committee members share a strong interest in space, and one of their preferred television shows, "Star Trek," inspired the idea of the prime directive. The term "Galactic" was derived directly from the concept itself.

Is Space exploration really worth it? Shouldn't we pay more attention to Earth and give up on space?
