__ Complete your College Prep Summer Assignment by the August 25th deadline
September
__ Attend Senior College Night with your parents
__ Attend TEC and/or UDEM night with your parents
__ If you are not happy with your SAT score, register for the October SAT and study using the resources in the testing section.
__ Request teacher or additional (coaches, etc.) letters of recommendation if you have not already done so (2 weeks notice)
__ Complete and sign the Common App FERPA agreement and link your Common App with your Maia Learning (Video Tutorial)
__ Book your senior meeting with your counselor
__ Finalize Colleges I’m Applying To list in Maia Learning if applying Early
__ Double check the college websites for your research information about admissions, financial aid, majors available, etc. Be sure to mark deadlines
__ Meet with your counselor during Senior Meetings to discuss your plans, transcript requests, and letters of recommendation
__ Work on the essays required for the college/university applications.
__ Be sure to include all of your volunteer work and extracurricular activities on your application and/or resume
__ Make sure that you have the required classes for your graduation plan and the college or university that you are planning to attend.
__ Prepare your application carefully either through CommonApp.org or directly to the institution you are applying. Follow the instructions, and PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO DEADLINES!
__ Request your transcripts through Maia Learning
__ Be sure to ask your counselor, and teachers at least two weeks before your application deadlines to submit the necessary documents to colleges (transcript, letters of recommendation, etc.)
__ Check AP Exam Registration dates.
__ Keep a calendar with deadlines posted for easy visibility.
__ Register for and take SAT and ACT, and English proficiency tests (TOEFL / Duolingo / IELTS) or any other exams required for admission to the colleges to which you are applying if you have not done so.

__ Check to see if you will need to fill out a CSS/Financial Aid Profile for the Common App or the FAFSA.
__ Complete your CSS or FAFSA*
__ Attend College Fair to meet the college representatives who may be reviewing your application for admission.
__ Request Kardex by October 13th if applying in Mexico
__ Finalize Colleges I’m Applying To list in Maia Learning

__ Review your FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR).
__ Review the financial aid packages offered by the different universities. Remember that you have a choice regarding what you will accept and what you will decline. Work with your parents through this process. Be ready to commit by May
__ Inform your counselor on your acceptances/declines through Maia Learning
__ Accept/commit to your school by May 1
