10th Grade Timeline (check off the items you have completed)
__ Keep up with your classes; grades are one of the top things universities consider.
__ Check out and plan for courses that challenge you and could possibly obtain college credit (AP). In February, you will be requesting your courses for G11.
__ Get to know your graduation plan; plan your classes and ask your Counselor for help if needed.
__ Do your best on assessments such as the PSAT
__ Decide what leadership roles you would like to consider within your extra-curricular activities
__ Continue adding to your log of activities (volunteer, awards, resume, etc.) in a folder or in MaiaLearning
__ Continue exploring careers of interest by talking to adults who work in your field of interest
__ Complete the MaiaLearning Personality Assessment and explore matching careers
__ Research summer programs that focus on particular subjects that interest you or on community service
__ Research summer opportunities to explore careers of interest such as internships or job shadowing
__ Begin journaling to get a sense for the personal essay style of writing
__ Become familiar with college entrance requirements
__Identify two careers of interest and research them in depth - related majors, possible internship, related summer programs, etc.
