Health guidelines signage will be placed throughout the school:
Safe distancing floor markers
Proper Handwashing signage (in all restrooms)
Face Mask Reminder signs
Enter / Exit / one-way signs

Max capacity signage for classrooms
Max capacity signage for common areas
Entrance signs listing Mandatory Mask Policy
Plexi shield for reception area
Everyone is required to wear a mask at all times in the building. Masks will be required outside of the building when individuals are unable to maintain a social distance of 6 feet or more. Masks have been shown to reduce the risk of virus transmission and are recommended by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and are required by the City of Nashua (Ordinance 0-20-018). We recommend 3-ply, fabric masks to be worn at all times.
Students must come to school wearing a mask.
ASD has a limited supply of face coverings in case a student’s mask is made unwearable during the course of the school day.
Parents are responsible for cleaning student’s masks.
Note: bandanas, costume masks with mouth openings, face shields (without a mask) and gaiters are not permitted.

MENTAL HEALTH & WELLNESS
The School Counselors will be available to meet with students via Zoom during the school day, during a student’s study periods or during break times. Students can email Caitlin Belley (high school) at caitlin.belley@asdnh.org or Miss. Roxanne (middle school) at roxanne.harmon@asdnh.org to schedule a meeting as needed.
BECOMING ILL AT SCHOOL
Sadly, we are likely to have members of the community contract the virus. Should a person become sick at school, the following will occur:
The nurse will separate anyone who develops symptoms of COVID-19 in a private room until they can leave the building. Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 is advised to contact their healthcare provider and be tested for COVID-19 with a negative test result before returning to school.
If someone in our community tests positive for COVID-19, the NH Department of Health and Human Services (NH DHHS) will conduct contact tracing.
EXCLUSION CRITERIA: WHO TO EXCLUDE FROM SCHOOL
Anybody with new or unexplained symptoms, even if only mild symptoms including, but not limited to:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches

Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting

Anybody with any COVID-19 symptoms who is observed in the building must be isolated and can not return to the building until they are tested for COVID-19 and can show a negative test result. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) will be followed with this information. For students with chronic allergic/asthmatic cough, a change in their cough from baseline will be used, not the presence of a cough
Anybody who reports close contact with a person suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19
Anybody who has traveled outside of New England (NH, VT, ME, MA, CT, RI) in the prior 14 days.
