Cold….Dark….yup, it is close to winter time! Please be sure to have your child wear appropriate coats, gloves/mittens, hats and appropriate footwear. Hanshew is not allowing sandals, crocks, or open toe shoes during this season for safety reasons. We still have fire drills monthly and being outside with inappropriate shoes can be a safety hazard.
Covid is still out there. I recommend COVID vaccines, and the booster that has been updated with the different virulent strains. The policy is to report COVID, stay out and return on 6th day, and mask for 10 days.
Flu vaccine clinic had 5 nurses from the Elementary school’s here and one volunteer nurse! We offered the vaccine to the school community and public. We administered 122 vaccines!
Have a wonderful fall season and stay warm!
Respectfully submitted,

Open check-out is all day, so stop in and check out some books to enjoy during these cool fall days. Battle of the Books started October 17 and will be during lunch on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Students need to bring Chromebooks every day to classes. Students who need an ASD Chromebook device can stop by the library any time to check one out. I can also help students with login, password, network, and other technology issues.
I will not be loaning out chargers or devices to students who forget theirs, so please remind your student to keep track of their charger and device. I recommend charging devices at home to avoid losing or mixing up chargers with other students.
The library is open most days at lunch. Students must have a library lunch pass to attend and need to eat lunch in the MPR first. Happy Reading! If anyone is interested in donating to Donors Choose projects, I have one open now on their site for some new nonfiction for our library.
MIGRANT EDUCATION
Good news! My new phone number is now the same as my old one: (907)742-5348.
Afterschool Homework Club: Many have caught up with homework and now MORE SEATS AVAILABLE in room 224 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday. Migrant Qualified Students can now bring a friend if this helps them to attend.
Migrant's next after-school potluck is postponed until 11/30 at 3:00PM in hopes of getting good pizza.
Sincerely,
