Dear Future 4th Grader,
Welcome to our classroom! I am so incredibly excited that you are finally here.Fourth grade is a "bridge" year—you’re not the "little kids" anymore, but you’re still discovering all the amazing things you’re capable of. This year, we aren’t just going to learn from books; we’re going to be scientists, authors, historians, and problem-solvers.
Big Challenges: We might tackle some tough math or tricky readings, but I promise we will do it together.
Big Laughs: I love a good joke (even the cheesy ones!) and I want our room to be a place where we smile every single day.
A Place to Belong: In this room, your voice matters. Whether you are quiet and thoughtful or loud and creative, you have a seat at our table.
I get a little nervous on the first day of school, too! Even teachers get those "first-day butterflies." But once I see your faces and we start our first activity, I know those butterflies will turn into pure excitement.
My Promise to You: I will always believe in you, even on the days you find it hard to believe in yourself. I will listen to your ideas, and I will do my best to make sure you leave this classroom every afternoon feeling proud of what you did.
Get ready for a year of growth, friendship, and a whole lot of fun. I can’t wait to meet you!
Mrs. Kristen
