Often times, parents need to pick up their student early for a multitude of reasons. We call this requesting a "Blue Pass", and we strive to make it a very easy process.
Parents: Here are a few tips to make this process easier for you, and more efficient for us.
Call 907-742-1832 from the phone number you have listed in Q.
This is how we verify that a parent is calling.
If you know that morning, your student will need to be picked up, you can send a note with your student to bring to the Main Office before the first bell, and we will write them a blue pass. The note must have parent signature, and their phone number that is in Q.
Call AT LEAST 30 minutes before you need them to be picked up.
We get several calls on both lines all at once, and we are constantly checking voicemail. Please leave a message if we are unable to answer your call.
Searching for 1 student out of the 1400 students can take a few minutes in such a large school, and a lot of things have to happen in that timeframe. 30 minutes gives us time to find the class they are in, take care of their attendance, write the pass, run the pass to the classroom and have the student collect their things and meet you outside, all while taking other calls and working with people who come into the office.
If you call earlier than 30 minutes - that's even better! We will deliver the student the pass in plenty of time to not have anyone running to meet you.
Planning ahead helps us all.
We understand that emergencies happen, please be sure to communicate that with us and we will do our best to accommodate your situation.
We cannot run blue passes after 1:45 (or 15 minutes before the end of the day for early release days)
