With your partner, find an example of all of each of the following: epic characteristic (5 different characteristics), epic convention (5 different conventions), and epic hero characteristic (7 different characteristics)--that's 17 quotes! Treat this like an extended Reader Response assignment. Have the cited quote on one side and then analyze the quote for the characteristic or convention on the other. When you are done with this, you can work on the map assignment.
