Happy Holidays to all of our families! Please take the time coming up for rest and relaxation!
As always, I want to stress the importance of vaccinating yourselves and your children 5 year and older. Granted, the variant is breaking through some vaccinated individuals; however, they are not getting as sick or hospitalized as are the unvaccinated. Getting vaccinated is a way to stay safe with family gatherings!
If your child comes down to the nurse with symptoms related to COVID, I will need to call you to pick up student and get him COVID tested. I can collect the specimen if you just fill out the registration form, then I will call you for consent. If the student is home absent, I will call and request a test. One of the fastest test sites is at Abbott Loop Elementary, a white van in back parking lot. You will get the results later that night, or before school starts. If negative, students are welcome back to school. As always, email the results to me.
