Mrs.Furlong

Hi! My name is Melissa Furlong. I have been working in Special Education for 7 years, and this will be my second year at BHP. I graduated from Lander University with a degree in Elementary Education, but I never imagined the Lord would have bigger plans for me in Special Education. I absolutely LOVE what I do. It’s amazing how much you can learn from a child just by listening to them or watching them interact with others. The students amaze me every day in their abilities. I enjoy coming into work every day to such a diverse group of learners.

I have 2 incredible children, Elena (12) and Eli (8). I recently married my wonderful husband in February of this year, and we are expecting our first child together. In my free time, I love going to the beach, watching game shows, playing board games or card games, and spending time with my family.
